Separate from the regular children's program it a a pre-school for Martial Artists. Young children ages 4-6 attend 2 classes each week to work on 8 different skills. The Young Dragons program improves children's motor skills and mental abilities with special activities. In the Dragons eyes, these activities are more like games. Studies show that children of this age learn best through watching and playing games.

KARATE KIDS (7-11 YEARS) For children of primary school age we offer what we consider to be Japan's most effective Karate system. Ashihara Fighting Karate contains all of the standard blocks, counters and kicks found in the traditional Martial Arts however there is a much greater emphasis on SABAKI (body evasion by rotation) than any other style. Although a serious Martial Arts system, we know the best way for children to learn and new skills are to make them fun. Most beginner students achieve their Black Belt in around three years. WHAT DO THEY LEARN? The eight Dragon skills are focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination. By concentrating on these skills Young Dragons become sharper and more focused than children who start their Martial Arts training in the regular children's program.
