Moving house is complex,
expensive and stressful. Need a little help? I will view your home through
the eyes of a potential buyer. . . I will look at every aspect of the property,
inside and out, identifying any problems that may hinder its sale at your
desired asking price.
I will
set out to advise you on how best to present your home to the market either
before or at any time during the period that it is offered for sale. These
factors can usually be spotted immediately by an independent eye and be put
right quickly and simply, often with little or no expense.
Please
note, that I am not (and have no intention of being!) an interior designer.
I aim to offer practical, pragmatic and cost effective advice to get your house
to sell as quickly as possible and for the best possible asking price. I can
also make a few phone calls to ‘check-up’ on your estate
agent.
I will arrange for the estate agent to show me around your
house. How available was the agent for viewing? Did the agent arrive on time?
Did he have the right keys with him? How did the agent present your house? Did
he make any comments on décor, state of repair, price, willingness to
accept a lower offer? I will provide a detailed, written report on this
conversation. I can also include any extra questions that you want me to ask.
Thanks to TV programs, like the 'House Doctor' and Ann Maurice,
we Brits are getting more familiar with the Californian idea of 'home staging'.
Its no longer enough just to put your house on the market and wait for the
right buyer to come along.
Your house needs to be 'prepared' to
go on the market. You could do this yourself, or you can call in the help of a
