Measuring up for Curtains
So many people get the width measurement wrong:
To arrive at the
proper width of your window, measure from the outside of the molding (not the
glass), unless curtain track or rail runs inside molding. Your overall width
measurement should be at least 1½ - twice the width measurement,
depending on the style of curtain and personal taste.
